Elizabeth (from Chico, CA) and Johnny are in love but her parents do not agree since he is merely a piano tuner from San Francisco. She is forbidden to see him and becomes distraught. She travels to San Francisco with her father to attend the jewelry show. Unbeknownst to them they enter the city on the eve of the famous Earthquake. Johnny saves her from the collapsed building.
